Agriculture is a key sector of Ugandan and beyond. Affordable, reliable renewable energy, advanced food conservation technologies, traceable supply chains and the market access are key for a sustainable development. Together with our local partners (installers, Universities, etc.) TWIGA Sun Fruits develops, implements and operates turn key system solutions for the agri-food sector. Food processing and solar energy know-how is combined and responsibility for the complete supply chain is acquired; starting with certified organic agriculture, food processing, solar energy supply till sales. A small batch pilot plant is elaborated for an organic-certified cooperative in Uganda. The project includes 100% solar heat and electricity supply, optimized food processing and a small manufactory with highest hygienic standards. The pilot plant is under implementation and should be in operation by spring 2023.
